Dhaka: Irfan Selim, the son of Dhaka-6 MP Haji Selim, is now detained at the Dhanmondi Police Station. None of his family members came to the police station to ask.

Irfan Selim, the son of Dhaka-6 MP Haji Selim, and his bodyguard Zahid have been in custody in Dhanmondi police custody for three days to be questioned in a case of the beating and attempted murder of a naval officer in Kalabagan in the capital. Earlier in Dhanmondi, MP Haji Selim’s car was hit by a motorcycle belonging to the Navy officer, Lieutenant Wasim, and he was brutally beaten by some people in the car. Wasim, a naval officer, was injured in the beating.

The Navy officer, Lieutenant Wasif Ahmed Khan, presented a case to the Dhanmondi Police Station on the morning of October 26 alleging assault and attempted murder.

The defendants in the case are Irfan Selim, 36, son of deputy Haji Selim, his bodyguard Mohammad Zahid, 35, AB Siddique Dipu, 45, protocol officer of the Medina Group owned by Haji Selim, driver Mizanur Rahman, 30, and two unidentified people. .

In the wake of the case, the RAB identified the whereabouts of Haji Mohammad Selim’s son, Irfan Selim, at 12:30 pm on Monday and conducted a raid on his home. Later, RAB Irfan and his bodyguard said. He was able to arrest Zahid.
