The restless crowd is burning down the tea shop Kaliganj police arrested a 38-year-old tea seller named Neshar Uddin for allegedly beating and beating Abdul Quader, president of Madati Union Parishad in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat.

On Wednesday (October 26) evening, Kaliganj Police Officer in Charge (OC) Arju. Sajjad Hossain confirmed the incident. He said that Neshar Uddin was the son of the late Chhakmal Hossain from the Mouza Shakhati area.
Kaliganj police, President Abdul Quader and local witnesses said that Nesar Uddin had a long-standing dispute with his brother Yakub Ali over the land. Yaqub Ali Madati filed a written complaint with the president of the union council. The UP president resolved the matter through an arbitration meeting at a cost of Taka 120,000. The money expires on Wednesday (October 27). But he did not pay. The president called both of them at noon and sat down to arbitration. At one stage of the altercation, Nesar Uddin and his men got angry and began hitting the president at random. The president’s nose popped and blood began to flow. UP members and others present rescued the president and admitted him to the Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.

The injured president is in treatment at the hospital. Upon hearing the news, the president’s local supporters went to the scene and set fire to the shop of tea vendor Neshar Uddin and protested demanding ashes and his trial. Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi’s officer, Rabiul Hasan, and the police went to the scene and controlled the situation.
OC Arju said. Sajjad Hossain said that Aminul Haque Mohan, a member of the Madati Union Parishad District No. 9, had brought a case against six people, including Nesar Uddin, for obstructing the government’s work. Nesar Uddin has been arrested in that case. It will be handed over to the Lalmonirhat court on Thursday (October 29) morning. Police are still trying to arrest the other defendants in the case.
Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi’s officer, Rabiul Hasan, said the incident was very sad and unfortunate. The main defendant has already been caught in this incident. The matter will be investigated and strict disciplinary action will be taken against the accused.
