The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) arrested two gay teenagers from the Launchghat area of Patuakhali. RAB-7 arrested them in a raid Tuesday morning. One of the two girls is 18 years old and the other 18 years old.
One of those arrested was sent to Patuakhali jail through court on Wednesday afternoon. The other was handed over to the Baufal police station. One of the arrested persons is a native of Baufal upazila de Patuakhali and the other is a native of Galachipa upazila.
Patuakhali RAB-6-in charge Company Commander (Deputy Director) said. This information was given in a press release signed by Rabiul Islam. The two teens are said to have been identified through Facebook. Since then, for the past 10 months, they have been roaming the country having homosexuality.
The father of the Baufal girl also kept a general diary about it. In it, he mentions that his daughter, a minor and a gay teenager from Galachipa took him out of the house without anyone knowing.
They have been arrested on the basis of the complaints. The detainees were handed over to the Baufal police station on Wednesday afternoon.
Mostafizur Rahman, officer in charge of the Baufal police station, said: “Baufal’s gay father has filed a kidnapping case at the police station.”
