The Department of Health Education plans to take a medical admission test in the last week of January or the first week of February. In accordance with the above rules, the exam will be held on the same day and at the same time in the same questionnaire throughout the country including the capital. The results will be prepared on the basis of a subjective questionnaire of 100 points and the marks obtained in the SSC and HSC exams and an additional 100 points, that is (written and obtained marks) 200 points.
These decisions were initially made at a meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. AHM Enayet Hossain from the Department of Health Education on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Additional Director General (Education) Prof Dr. Abu Yusuf Fakir said that a meeting chaired by the Director General of the Department of Health Education on Wednesday decided to take the medical admission test in the last week of January or the first week of February. However, the final decision on medical admission will be made in consultation with the Minister of Health, Zahid Malek, and the Secretary of Health, Md Ali Noor.
This year there have been no HSC tests due to the global corona epidemic. According to the decision of the Ministry of Education, the results of the HSC will be published in December based on the results of the SSC.
There are currently more than one hundred government and private medical schools in the country. Of these, 37 are governmental and 60 private. Since there is no HSC exam this time around, the question arises how the medical admission test will be taken.
However, at a meeting of the health education department on Wednesday, it was decided to take the test based on the above rules. Although the admission test takes place in October or November of each year, this time it will take place in the new year.
