The Bangladesh University Scholarship Commission (UGC) will provide practical classes and exam opportunities for private university students with special consideration.
Only students who are in the last semester will have this opportunity. It will be implemented in accordance with strict hygiene regulations. In this case, a distance of at least six feet must be maintained between the two students during classes and exams.
The decision was made at a virtual UGC meeting on Tuesday (October 28).
Depending on the decision, a maximum of 10 students will be able to participate in laboratory classes and exams. You can only take one class in a day.
A member who attended the meeting said the university was not opening. We have to make that decision only by considering these students.
He added that students who are in their last semester will have the opportunity to personally participate in practical classes and exams. This decision has been made in response to a request from several private universities.
All kinds of educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 16 due to coronavirus. The holiday has been extended until October 31. This holiday is on the rise. The education minister will announce the extension at a press conference on Thursday, ministry sources said.
