At the hearing, Token Tagore’s lawyer said that after receiving a Tk 1,050,000 grant from the government in the first phase, 100 percent of the images of the thorny film were sent to the Ministry of Information on December 20, 2016.
Explaining why it took so long to get the grant in 2013, attorney Prakash Biswas said the film’s background is one of the reasons. The spines are being built with the events of 1984, 1981 and 1989-90. The liberation war and non-community consciousness is one of the themes of this film.
“It took a long time to create photo props, costumes and newspaper sets. After finishing the filming, it was not possible to do the editing, dubbing and music work due to the financial crisis and the Covid-19 situation without obtaining the money from the second installment of the ministry ”.
