Iran’s Foreign Ministry has summoned the French ambassador to France for the exhibition of cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his anti-Muslim stance. This was confirmed in a report by Iran’s state media, Irib, on Tuesday.
An 18-year-old beheaded a school teacher on the outskirts of Paris on October 17. The teenager killed the school teacher, angered by the display of controversial cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to students.
Later, the French government awarded the schoolmaster the country’s highest posthumous award and began displaying the controversial cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in various buildings. French President Emmanuel Macron ordered state-sponsored cartoons.
Meanwhile, an official from Iran’s Foreign Ministry said at a diplomatic meeting on Monday that Iran would not accept any insult or disrespect to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Tehran strongly rejects such activities.
It has even been mentioned that any injustice towards Islam will not be tolerated. Meanwhile, France’s boycott of French products in various parts of the Muslim world, including the Arabian Gulf, has sparked protests against France’s anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim stance.
Companies, including many well-known chain stores, have stopped selling French products. France has called on Arab countries to end their boycott, citing the far-reaching effects of the coronation.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Mohamed Javed Zarif harshly criticized French President Emmanuel Macron’s anti-Islamic stance, saying that insulting Muslims was an opportunistic abuse of freedom of expression.
Although he did not directly name Macron, Javed Zarif said in a tweet that Muslims were the main victims of hatred.
He said that the blasphemy of such extremists is an abuse of freedom of expression by the 1.9 billion Muslims of the world and the desecration of their holy places. These only provoke extremism.
