The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has canceled the certificates of 30 more freedom fighters, as there was no evidence of their participation in the liberation war. This bulletin was published on the basis of the recommendation of the seventh meeting of the National Council of Freedom Fighters (JAMUKAR) on October 17, revoking its charter.
The people whose certificates were revoked are the late Sadeq Ali and Abdul Gafur Azad of Comilla, Maryland from Chandpur. Shafiqur Rahman Hawladar, Maryland. Fayez Ullah Khan, Md. Nazrul Islam, Md. Khalilur Rahman and Mrinal Kanti Saha, Narayanganj said. They are Mia, Md. Nurul Islam, the deceased. Abdul Jalil and Md. Abdul Hakim, the late Amulya Ratan Biswas from Jessore, Uttam Das from Moulvibazar, Md. Magura. Ful Mia, Nilphamari said. Earlier, after independence on June 8, the certificates of 1,181 freedom fighters from the Air Force and BGB were canceled. The government made this decision as the Liberation War Ministry did not have any documents to register them as freedom fighters. However, the Superior Court subsequently suspended the order. The matter is still pending a final decision in the superior court.
