According to the family of the deceased, Raj Khan, son of Abdur Rashid from Fulki Paschimpara village of upazila, was married to Rajib Khan, an eighth-grade student at the Kalia Government Primary School, granddaughter of Lal Khan, a resident of the village of Kalia at the Kauljani junction of the same upazila. When she got married at a young age, she started bleeding from her genitals after marriage. At one point, people from Nur Nahar’s father-in-law’s house treated him with Kabiraj. Despite the bleeding, her husband’s brutality did not subside. On October 22, he was admitted to a private clinic in Tangail. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital. From there he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. He died Saturday night (October 24) while undergoing treatment there. The next day, Sunday (October 25), after an autopsy, he was buried in the local cemetery of his grandfather’s house.
Nur Nahar’s Nana Lal Khan said the girl had been bleeding since the night of her marriage. To do this, Nur Nahar’s mother-in-law was giving her medicine from the village of Kabiraj. He was later admitted to the hospital with heavy bleeding.
Doctors said Nur Nahar was bleeding from her genitals because she married at a young age. He later died while in treatment. She claimed that Nur Nahar died mainly because of her husband.
Bilkis Begum, Nur Nahar’s mother-in-law, said that Nur Nahar was possessed by a demon. For this, blood used to come out of their genitals. Later he was treated by the local Kabiraj. Then the people from his father’s house came and took him away. Later he died in hospital.

Tangail Police Deputy Superintendent Abdul Matin said late Monday (October 26) that police were investigating the allegation. Legal action will be taken after receiving the autopsy report.
