A girlfriend named Farzana Khatun (20) committed suicide by writing a note in which she blamed her father for marrying her elsewhere without marrying her boyfriend’s cousin. He got married two months ago.
Police sent the body to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy Monday morning. Previously, the incident took place in the Puraputia village in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh on Sunday afternoon.
It is known that on Sunday afternoon, the girlfriend Farzana Khatun went to her father’s house from Rambhadrapur in Phulpur upazila to the house of her husband Mahmud Hasan in the village of Puraputia. He committed suicide at home in the afternoon.
After receiving the news, the police recovered his hanging body and took him to the police station. The body was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy on Monday morning.
The locals said that she had a love affair with one of the deceased’s cousins. But Farzana’s father did not accept it. She married him elsewhere. At one point in the altercation, Farzana’s father allegedly told him to fall in the street and die. Arrogantly, he blamed his father and committed suicide by writing a note.
