Begumganj police arrested two teenage students from the same madrasa for raping an 8-year-old Noorani girl student in the Eklashpur union of Begumganj of Noakhali. They were arrested on Sunday night (October 25) in two separate locations in upazila.
The girl was raped in Hafez Mohiuddin (Rah.) Tahfizul Quran Hafizia Madrasa in Pavilion 1 of the Eklashpur Union of upazila. He was a student of Majra I Jamaat of that madrasa.
According to the police, the rapist Sifat (12) was arrested in the Kazi Colony of District 5 of Noakhali Municipality. He was the son of Safi Miah from the Kazi colony and a student of Hafez Mohiuddin (Rah.) Tahfizul Quran Hafizia Madrasa. On the other hand, the police arrested rapist Hasan (11) from Munshi Bari from Eklashpur village in ward 1 of the Eklashpur union of upazila. He is the son of the late Oli Ullah from Munshi Bari in the same village.
The boy’s father said that he had admitted his son to the madrasa a year ago for the purpose of memorizing the Qur’an. I used to study there as a residential student. Last Friday (October 23), his father went to the madrasa to meet his son. At this time the boy secretly told his father to take me home, it is spoken. When the boy got home, he said that Sifat and Hasan, students from the Hefez department, had been raping him several times for a long time. The boy has also been threatened not to tell anyone about the incident if the boy reports to the director of the madrasa. Even after the incident, the boy fell ill, but the madrasa authorities did not provide him with any medical treatment. Later, on Sunday night, when they verbally complained to the police about this, the police carried out an immediate operation and arrested the two accused teenagers.
The Begumganj OC Muhammad Kamruzzaman Sikder Police Station admitted the veracity of the incident and said that after receiving a complaint from the victim’s family on Sunday night, the police carried out an immediate operation and arrested the two defendants. The father of the abused child has filed a case as a plaintiff. The two defendants in the case will be arrested and sent to court Monday afternoon.
