Two sisters, Mushfiqa Mostafa and Mobashshara Mostafa, are considering taking legal action to regain their father’s property rights. She is the daughter of retired captain Mostafa Jaglul Wahid of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

His father Wahid owns a luxurious three-story house at 95 Gulshan 2 Road. After Wahid’s death on October 10, a woman named Anju Kapoor is claiming the property worth hundreds of millions of rupees as her own. She also claims to be Waheed’s wife. Wahid’s two daughters are unable to enter the house.

After standing in front of the door for 21 consecutive days (Saturday and Sunday), they were unable to enter the house. Although multiple GDs and complaints were filed at the Gulshan Police Station, no action was taken. That is why Wahid’s two daughters are considering legal action.

“We are still standing in front of the house,” Mushfiqur Mostafa said Sunday night. Anju Kapoor called 999 on Saturday night and dispatched the police. But the police didn’t say anything since we were sitting in peace. He asked the police for help to enter the house, but the police did not help him. The police also arrived today at noon (Sunday).

He said the matter was discussed on a television show Saturday night. At the time he was involved in that phone talk show. According to Anju Kapoor’s lawyer there, we have two-thirds of the house. Why are we not allowed into the house where Kapoor’s own attorney has recognized our rights? “We are trying to deprive them of their rights by smuggling or destroying valuables by hanging them in court,” he said. “We are being pushed towards the law,” he added. Being obligated, we move towards legal action. Tomorrow (Monday) we will take additional steps in consultation with the attorney.

When questioned, Gulshan Police Station OC Abul Hasan told Jugantar that both parties had filed a GD on the matter. Waheed’s two daughters seek help getting into the house. On the other hand, Anju Kapoor alleges that Mushfiqur and Mobashshara want to occupy the house together. Meanwhile, the police cannot do much as it is a civil matter. If there is a criminal case or any court order in this regard, the police will take appropriate action. The police also keep a close eye on the house to avoid any adverse incidents.
