Hefazat Secretary General Shaykhul Hadith and Allama Junaid Babungari, Hathazari Madrasa Director of Education, have strongly condemned and protested the display of insulting Prophet Muhammad cartoons (PBUH) on the walls of Paris, France. He made the remarks in a statement sent to the media on Sunday.

He said that in France, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was insulted and the hearts of Muslims around the world were stabbed. One thousand five hundred million Muslims around the world will not accept the pain of Muslim religious sentiments and the insult to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The display of insulting cartoons of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in France should stop soon.

Hefazat’s secretary general also said that French President Emmanuel Macron’s anti-Muslim rhetoric had given believers the courage to dare to display insulting cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The French government should unconditionally apologize to the Muslim world for displaying insulting cartoons of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The death penalty bill must be passed in all countries of the world as punishment for insulting the dignity of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Bangladesh is a 90 percent Muslim country. That is why Allama Babungari demanded the government of Bangladesh as a Muslim country to protest against this incident in France.

Hefazat Secretary General Allama Junaid Babungari called on the OIC, the Arab League, Saudi Arabia and other Muslim rulers from around the world to unite and protest against the display of insulting cartoons of the Prophet (PBUH) in France.
