The ministry said this at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on civil aviation and tourism held in Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Sunday.

The previous meeting of the parliamentary commission recommended identifying new tourist destinations and taking measures to make them more attractive.
The tourism corporation said at the meeting that they have identified more than 800 locations.
The parliamentary committee said it remains to be seen how these areas can be classified as tourist areas. How to make these places attractive for tourism, what initiatives should be taken. Representatives of the local population should be involved in this work.
According to a notification from the Secretary of Parliament, the meeting was informed that Biman’s activities resumed on May 31. The operational work of the aircraft is carried out on a limited scale with minimal staffing due to compliance with hygiene regulations, maintaining social distance, and considering bureaucratic needs. Now the number of flights is increasing. In this context, more manpower is needed. Also in that case, the health of officials and employees is being adequately observed and the responsibility to fulfill responsibilities is maintained by maintaining physical distance.
The meeting discussed the “Bangladesh Travel Agency (Registration and Control) Bill (Amendment)”. This will be discussed further at the next meeting.
The Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali, Ashek Ullah, Anwar Hossain Khan and Syeda Rubina Akter, members of the committee, participated in the meeting chaired by the chairman of the committee, RM Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury.
