Hifazat Secretary General Shaykhul Hadith and Allama Junaid Babungari, Education Director Hathazari Madrasa have strongly condemned and protested the display of insulting cartoons of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the walls of Paris, France. He said that in France, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was insulted and the hearts of Muslims around the world were stabbed. Fifteen hundred million Muslims around the world will not accept the beloved Prophet’s insult. The display of insulting caricatures of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in France must stop soon. The French government must unconditionally apologize
Allama Babungari made the remarks in a statement sent to the media on Sunday (October 25). He called on Muslim rulers around the world, including the OIC, the Arab League and Saudi Arabia, to unite and protest against the display of insulting cartoons of the Prophet in France.
In a statement, Hefazat’s secretary general said that the French president’s anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim rhetoric had given the anti-Rasul people the courage to dare to show insulting cartoons of Muhammad (PBUH). The French government should unconditionally apologize for displaying insulting cartoons of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The death penalty bill should be passed in every country in the world as punishment for insulting the Prophet. Bangladesh is a 90 percent Muslim country. Therefore, Babungari demanded the government of Bangladesh as a Muslim-dominated country to protest against the incident in France.
