Islamia Eye Hospital in Farmgate, Dhaka is an institution founded by Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq’s grandfather. Barrister Rafiq-ul has played a pioneering role in the construction of the Dhaka Children’s Hospital. Bangabandhu allocated the land for this hospital. He raised a large part of the cost of setting up the hospital by selling lottery tickets.
