The controversy has started over the song titled ‘Sarbat Mangal Radhe’ sung by actor Chanchal Chowdhury and actress Shaon.
Shortly after the song was released on YouTube and Facebook, a fight broke out on social media and sparked controversy over the copyright issue.
The song was released on YouTube and Facebook on Tuesday as the third performance of a folk music program entitled ‘Our Song’ hosted by IPDC Finance Limited.
YouTube eventually removed the song due to a copyright issue.
The debate continues, the song of the Saralpur band is ‘Sarbat Mangal Radhe’. But in Chanchal-Shaon’s voice, the song has been mentioned as a song collected during the performance. Saralpur received no credit. The band’s permission was not taken.
Tariqul Islam Tapan, founding member and main guest of Saralpur, complained about the copyright issue.
In a video message on Facebook, he asked IPDC Finance Limited to remove the song from all media.
Following his complaint, YouTube removed the song sung by Chanchal-Shaon.
In that sense, Tapan said, we have released this song as an unreleased song. We haven’t given it to any album yet. So we don’t want anyone to publish this song before us.
The song artist, Turin, said that the IPDC song is still shared from many pages. We don’t want this song to spread. So refrain from sharing this song with everyone.
