Iran and Russia have received information from voters about the November 3 US presidential election. John Ratcliffe, director of the US National Intelligence Agency, made the remarks at a press conference just 13 days before the election.
Authorities say Tehran is sending threatening emails to voters supporting Democratic candidate Joe Biden. John Ratcliffe said the emails were shown to have been sent by a group of radical Trump supporters. These have been sent for the purpose of “inciting riot”.
US officials have long feared that foreign agencies would interfere in the conduct of the elections and spread false information about the elections. Therefore, such a statement from the intelligence agency before the vote appears to be significant.
Ratcliffe said the “fake emails” sent by Iran were used to “intimidate voters, cause chaos and tarnish President Trump’s reputation” using the name of the pro-Trump boys hardline group Proud Boys .
Ratcliffe believes that voter information could be used to spread “false information to registered voters” in an attempt to “spread confusion, chaos and undermine confidence in American democracy.”
Russia, like Iran, has information about voters, according to the director of the US National Intelligence Agency. But intelligence officials have yet to see Russia behave like Iran, Radcliffe said.
Christopher Ray, director of the FBI, was with Ratcliffe at the press conference. However, Christopher Ray claims that America’s electoral system is still secure.

Iran, however, has not yet successfully hacked into the American system. Suspicious emails sent recently to Democratic voters in several states have been sent. In those emails, they were asked to vote for Trump.
The email threatened: ‘You will vote for Trump on Election Day, otherwise we will find you.’ Support Republicans by changing top support so we know you’ve gotten our message. ‘
