Rahanur Rahman, the brother of the deceased, described the reason why the mother, father, brother and sister were killed but the girl Maria Sultana survived. Rahanur hacked and murdered his older brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece in a planned manner. Due to a family dispute, he killed four members of his family, including his older brother Shahinur, with a knife in Kalaroa, Satkhira. The chapatis and towels used in the murder have been recovered. Rahanur has been identified as the mastermind of the murder, as his fingerprints and the recovered signs match.
Quoting Rahanur, Additional DIG Omar Farooq said that Rahanur was unemployed. On the night of the incident, Sabina Khatun scolded him for eating. It was then that he planned to kill Bhabhi. While watching television at night, his older brother, Shahinur, reprimanded him saying that his electricity bill would be higher. At that point he got angry and planned to kill him too. Later, he mixed sleeping pills with soft drinks and gave them to his brother and sister-in-law. At night, Shahinur and his family went to sleep closing the folding door without opening the door. Towards the end of the night, Rahanur entered the house through a tree in Chile and killed his sleeping brother and sister-in-law by cutting their throats with a knife. At that moment, his nephew Siam and his niece Tasnim woke up and also killed them. Later he left the chapati in the pond, bathed and went to sleep. However, he claimed that his confession had been obtained through torture and that his confession had been obtained through torture.

Nasima Khatun said: ‘I am raising him as my own son. He was bleeding because he was next to his mother on the day of the incident. Maybe he ate milk thinking it was milk. With everyone’s prayers, I will turn him into a human being.
He added that the baby woke up in the middle of the night. I can feel that crying sensation when I put it on my chest. Her pain is understood in her crying. Everything happened in front of him that night but he can’t say anything.
He added: “I am very much in love with Maria.” If her relatives take her away, I can’t stay.
Quoting Rahanur, Additional DIG Omar Farooq said that although he had a plan to kill his brother-in-law, he did not have a plan to kill the children. They kill them because they keep waking up and screaming. He was alone in this murder. Maria was not given soda when she was a child. “Maria, a 6-month-old baby, cannot tell anyone,” he said, adding that he had not been killed.
Special Superintendent of Police Anichur Rahman from the CID office in Satkhira said: “I have never seen such a criminal in my working life.” He did not sleep for two days after the incident. Even then, the timing of the questioning is normal. He did not understand in any way that he was involved in the matter and did his best to destroy the track.
