Finally, the boards of education have decided to reimburse the money to complete the forms for this year’s High School Exams (HSC) and equivalents. The remaining amount will be refunded after deducting the amount spent on this job due to cancellation of the exam. The money will be returned with the certificate, the source said.
It is known that in November last year, science students had to pay a fee of Tk 2,500, including the center fee, and humanities and commerce students had to pay a fee of Tk 1,940 to complete the HSC form. Of these, the center fee (including practical fee) is Rs 605 for science and Rs 445 for humanities and commerce. Although all preparations for the exam have been completed, some money has been deposited as it has been canceled. Currently it has been decided to return the money to the students.
In this sense, the President of the Inter-educational Coordinator, Professor. Ziaul Haque told Jago News on Wednesday that we have completed all kinds of preparations for the HSC exams. It has cost us a lot of money. It has been decided to return the remaining money to the students.
“We will prepare question papers, prepare answer sheets, book stores, fill out forms, distribute admission cards and distribute certificates,” he said. Most of the money will be spent on this. Since the test has been canceled, the answer sheet assessment and practical test will not be taken. The amount of money for this will be reimbursed to the students.
When asked how much money the students could get, he said that since most of the money had been spent, it would not be possible to return too much money. It may be possible to return from Rs 500 to Rs 700. Between them, science students will get a little better performance. We are looking at the accounts. Everything we have will be returned.
He said that the certificates of the HSC candidates would be sent to their respective universities. The remaining money will be sent with it. Students will be reimbursed with the certificate.
Under 9 general education boards, technical education boards, and madrassa education boards across the country, there were 13 lakh 85 thousand 69 candidates for upper secondary exams and equivalents this year. Of these, 10 lakh 79,181 were regular candidates and 2 lakh 8,501 were irregular candidates. Students must complete the form taking the fee prescribed by the Board of Education to participate in the exam. It has been estimated that the boards of education have taken around Tk 300 crore of 13 lakh 75 thousand 69 students to fill out the examination forms.
