Faruk Hossain’s house is in the village of Chowk Abdul Shukur. His father’s name is Nader Sheikh. He studied up to class VIII at Pabna Kazir Hat High School. After that, he went to Dhaka in 2001 and worked in a security company called Tropical Security Homes Limited until 2009.

After that, he returned to Dhaka in 2012 from Pabna for three years. From 2012 to 2016, he sold tea in different locations in Dhaka. After that, starting in 2016, he used to collect money from various people by fraud using police identity.

On the 29th of last month, an SI RMP from Rajpara Police Station complained at headquarters that three people from the Dabtala area of ​​the city had been called from four mobile numbers with the identity of SI Masud Alam from Rajpara Police Station. .

He called and demanded money for the investigation, rescue and shipment of the recovered documents.

They subsequently reported to the police station and it was found that SI Masud from Rajpara police station and no one at the police station knew about the matter. The Rajpara police then sent the numbers to the cybercrime unit of the metropolitan police.

After receiving the numbers, the cybercrime unit analyzed the identity of the person who gave false identity for 21 days. Then he was arrested in Pabna.

Police Commissioner Abu Kalam Siddique held a press conference at the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police office on Wednesday afternoon after the arrest of Farooq Hossain.

Present on the occasion were the additional deputy commissioner of the Rajshahi metropolitan police, Golam Ruhul Quddus, and the head of the cybercrime unit, Utpal Kumar Chowdhury.

At the press conference, the police commissioner said that Farooq Hossain has been raising money through fraud by posing as the OC, SI of the police for the past few years.
