The fate of Asadul, a fisherman in need and in debt, has returned.

Earlier in the morning, the fish was caught in the Brahmaputra River by Asadul Islam.

Jailer Asadul became passionate and told banglanews: “I am in debt.” So God sent the fish to the net to alleviate my misery. After selling the fish and paying off the loan, I will be able to live in peace with my wife and children after eating two handfuls.

One of the buyers, Thanahat UP chairman of Chilmari upazila Abdur Razzak Milon, told banglanews that the tiger fish is very large. Usually such a large fish does not attract attention. I heard from my ancestors that a huge fish weighing 4/5 maunds could be found in the Brahmaputra. Suddenly I got a big shot and bought two kilos.

Chilmari Upazila Fisheries Officer. Badruzzaman Mia said that every year between 35 and 40 tiger fish are caught in the Brahmaputra River. A large tiger fish weighing 113 kg was caught and sold at a local market for Tk 1.13 lakh. Locals have bought the largest fish caught in the district this year at 1,000 Tk per kg.
