Meteorologist Muhammad Arif Hossain said the light pressure in the center of the Bay of Bengal was located in the Central West of the Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Central East of the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday morning.
“It just came to our notice then. Friday-Saturday will turn into a deep depression. It remains to be seen whether it will intensify into a cyclone or where it will move in two days.”
According to the weather forecast, strong winds are likely to blow in the North Bay, the coastal areas of Bangladesh and the seaports.
That is why the seaports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to display local warning sign number 3.
At the same time, the meteorological office has advised all fishing boats and trawlers stationed in the North Bay and the deep sea to move carefully from close to shore.
Meteorologist Arif Hossain said: “It is raining in different parts of the country due to light pressure. The rain will increase in different areas on Thursday. “
Previously, on October 10, there was a slight pressure in the sea, but it did not become dangerous. At the end of the third week of the month, there was another depression; Meteorologists are not ruling out the possibility of a cyclone.
This wind cycle, which is currently in a low pressure state, will be called “speed” if it transforms into a cyclone after passing through obvious low pressure, low pressure and deep depression.
The cyclone in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal was named by the World Meteorological Organization’s regional cyclone agency, Escap. From the list of names given by 13 countries in the region, the names of the new cyclones are gradually fixed.
The practice of naming cyclones in this region began a decade and a half ago to easily show the nature and intensity of cyclones to people. When a depression turns into a cyclone, the names are assigned according to the order of the list.
Last May, Cyclone Ampan continued to wreak havoc in West Bengal, India and southern Bangladesh. Even in the midst of an epidemic, the government has to make great preparations to deal with that storm. Furthermore, this year Bangladesh has been affected by long-term floods.
