The Azerbaijani army has fired heavily on the Armenian military equipment. Two Armenian tanks and a military vehicle were killed in the attack. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has released two videos of the attack.

The Azeri Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that the attack was carried out to liberate the occupied territories of Armenia. A statement from the ministry said that operations against Armenia were taking place in the areas of Agdara, Agdam, Fuzuli, Hadrut, Jabrail, Kabadli and Jangilan.

He said the operation destroyed T-72 tanks, four-degree missile systems, a D-30 howitzer and five military vehicles. This military equipment is believed to be from Armenia.

The statement said that several members of the Armenian army had been killed in the shelling and that the Azerbaijani army had taken control of the area.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have started new hostilities since September 26 due to the opposition from Nagorno-Karabakh.

The ceasefire would take effect on October 11. But within minutes of the ceasefire, Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of violating the ceasefire.

For the second time since Saturday night (October 16), 13 civilians were killed in an Armenian missile attack in Ganja shortly after the ceasefire. Among them are four women and three children. In addition, 50 people were injured in the attack.

The Karabakh region is internationally recognized as a territory of Azerbaijan. However, the region has been controlled by ethnic Armenians since the 1990s. In that decade, more than 30,000 people died in wars with Armenia and Azerbaijan.
