Demand for cancellation of admission test online through software

Dhaka: The Socialist Student Front has demanded the cancellation of the online admission test decision using software.

The demand was made in a press release issued Monday night (October 19) by Masud Rana, president of the Central Committee of the Student Front, and Rashed Shahriar, general secretary.

Leaders of the Student Front in a statement rejected the decision to take the public university admission test this year using online software.

In the statement, student leaders said that the admission test is one of the most important tests in the lives of students in our country. The results of this test verify the success-failure of the SSC and HSC results. In our country it is not possible to assess merit in a test of 2-3 hours a day in the admission test that is carried out in universities. As a result, inequality exists within existing structures. Now if this test is done online, the possibility of a real merit check will disappear. Because the students’ experience with recent online classes is not happy. The university has nothing to gain from this other than raising huge sums of money by selling admissions test forms online.

The statement also said: “We are in favor of increasing the number of centers and taking the university admission test while maintaining physical distance.” All universities can take this test collectively, the number of centers can be set according to the number of participants in all districts. Classes and exams are now closed in all educational institutions. As a result, it is not impossible to plan and perform this test. Many countries in the world are being tested in this way, we should learn from them. At the same time, we demand the cancellation of the decision to take the online admission test.
