The full committee of the Awami League affiliate organization, the Swechchhasebak League, was approved. The organization released the committee’s full list on Monday (October 19). However, some positions remain vacant. The first committee of the Swechchhasebak League was formed in 1996 by convening then-Member of Parliament Maqbool Hossain. In 2002, AFM Bahauddin Nasim was elected president of the first council and Pankaj Debnath became secretary general. The last one in 2012, Mollah said. A committee of the Swechchhasebak League was formed with Abu Kawshar as president and Pankaj Debnath as general secretary. This committee was headed by the organization for about 17 years.
