BNP deputy general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, who is in charge of the department, received the request from the party’s organization secretary, Syed Emran Saleh Prince, to temporarily assume additional responsibilities at the central office. The directive was given in a letter signed Monday by the party’s general secretary, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

According to the letter, BNP deputy general secretary, lawyer Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, has become ill and you (Syed Emran Saleh Prince) are asked to temporarily take over the BNP head office as an additional party responsibility until recover.

Meanwhile, Syed Emran Saleh Prince also held a position in the party office after taking over. He said: “I met with Senior Deputy General Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at noon and informed him about this. Following the instructions of the acting chairman of the party, Tareq Rahman, I started working at Naya Paltan.”

Syed Emran Saleh Prince is the organizing secretary of BNP’s Mymensingh division. Before that, he served as the party’s joint central office and joint advertising secretary.
