Sylhet: An expat has announced a reward of Tk 10 lakh for the arrest of Sub-Inspector (SI) Akbar Hossain Bhuiyan, accused of torturing and killing Raihan Uddin at a police post in Sylhet.
Samad Khan, a son of Golapganj in Sylhet, has made this announcement.
Samad Khan said that SI Akbar, who was accused of brutally torturing and killing Raihan Uddin at the Bandarbazar outpost, would receive a reward of Tk 10 lakh if he could be arrested within 72 hours, or if any brave person in the administration could arrest Akbar.

He died on Sunday (October 11) morning after being tortured at a police station and taken to the Osmani Medical School Hospital. The victim’s wife filed a murder case at the Kotwali Police Station. After that, four policemen, including Akbar, were fired and three more were removed. Akbar has been on the run since the Sunday after the incident.
