According to Article 29 (b) of the 2018 Firearms License and Use Rules, “Shots may be used for the purpose of test shooting, personal defense and target practice during the purchase and repair of new weapons. . A maximum of five shots can be used to take test shots.
According to the instructions of the Political Branch-4 of the Ministry of the Interior on December 16, 2017, test shots can be fired while buying new weapons and the seller will issue a certificate in this regard.
As a general rule of thumb, guns should be tested in the store before purchasing. There is no possibility to take home the test shot.
Article 25 (a) of the Rules states that weapons may not be displayed in a way that could intimidate / annoy others.
Sajjad Hossain, Deputy Secretary of the Faridpur District Rifle Club, said that before buying weapons, they should be checked in the respective stores. Each weapons store has a designated place to test. Also, the person who will buy the gun must have a detailed idea about that gun. At the time of purchase, you need to understand the various aspects of weapons, including shop test fire. There are no rules for testing abroad. It will not have legal validity if it is tested abroad.
Bhanga (SI) Police Deputy Inspector Shawkat Hossain rushed to the scene after hearing four shots from the UN residence.
He said he went to the scene, but was unable to meet or speak with UNO.
