Police arrested Captain Safdar, the son-in-law of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He was arrested on Monday after breaking down the door of a hotel room in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province.
According to The Dawn of Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has harshly criticized the ruling government. Police arrested Maryam Nawaz’s husband, Captain Safdar, for this.
On Monday morning, Maryam Nawaz confirmed her husband’s arrest in a tweet.
“They were staying at a hotel in Karachi,” Miriam wrote in a tweet. On Monday morning, the police broke down the hotel room door and forced their way into the room. Maria was asleep at the time. Later, the police arrested her husband and took him away.
Although the police have yet to comment on his arrest. Meanwhile, the leader of the ruling PTI party and Imran’s government minister, Al Zaidi, denied Maryam’s allegations, saying that the police did not break down the door of anyone’s room. Maria is lying.
It can be mentioned that Maryam Nawaz joined an anti-Imran protest from Pakistan’s opposition parties on Sunday. Captain Safdar chanted slogans at the protest. The protest is in a cemetery.
