Mehdi Nobel, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Injured Students UnionTwenty-five of those injured in the attack on Feni during a long march to Noakhali against rape and impunity are being treated in various Noakhali hospitals. Among them are Mehedi Nobel, president of the central committee of the student union, Anik Roy, general secretary, Asma Akter, Ima, Rapida and Deepa Fahmida, leaders of the student union.

Abdullah Al Kafi Ratan, coordinator of the Left Front, who participated in the long march, confirmed this information to the Bangla Tribune. He said that when we went to get on the bus for Begumganj after the demonstration around 11:30 pm, a group of youth from the Chhatra League and the Juba League suddenly attacked us. At that time, only those among the wounded leaders and activists of the alliance who were in critical condition were admitted to the hospital.

Noakhali Begumganj Circle Additional Police Superintendent Shahjahan Sheikh said the injured were being treated at Noakhali Sadar Hospital and Chaumuhani Life Care Hospital.

According to sources, the attack took place in front of the city’s construction supermarket on Saturday (October 18) at around 11:30 am after a long march after a rally in the center of Shaheed Minar in Feni in the on the way to Noakhali on the old main road.

According to the victims, the participants of the long march rushed to save their lives by hitting the leaders and activists of the BCL and Juba League at random. They claimed that a total of 50 leaders and activists of the alliance were injured in the attack.

The alliance further said that in addition to Feni, there was also an attack on a gathering of locals in Daganbhuiyan Upazila Sadar in preparation for the meeting. At least 10 local leaders and Left Front activists were also injured.

However, the president of the Feni district BCL, N Salauddin Firoz, called the accusation politically motivated. “We also support the long march program,” he told an afternoon press conference. But it is very regrettable that in the name of the long march, they wrote several indecent and offensive comments about the festoon with photos of Bangabandhu and his daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the secretary general of the district Awami League, Nizam Hazari. The Chhatra League has been very shocked by this. The Chhatra League organized a protest procession in protest of this incident. He also claimed that the Chhatra League was not involved in the attack.

On Friday (October 17) morning, the long march started from Shahbagh in Dhaka and headed for Narayanganj at noon. From there he arrived in Comilla in the afternoon and met. Later, the protesters went to Feni and spent the night. On Saturday (October 18) morning, after the rally at the Shaheed Minar center in Feni, they left for Noakhali. As soon as the procession started, the protesters were attacked by criminals.
