The district BNP has organized protest processions and rallies in Naogaon-6 constituency (Raninagar-Atrai) alleging manipulation in the by-elections. At the same time, a half-day strike has been called in this constituency.
At 8:30 pm on Saturday, at the initiative of the BNP district, a protest procession left the BNP party office at KD Mor in Naogaon and marched down various roads in the city. Later, a demonstration was held at the BNP party office.
Naogaon District BNP Convenor Hafizur Rahman Hafiz Master chaired the function. Former BNP District President Nazmul Haque Soni, Secretary General Zahidul Islam Dhalu, Organizational Secretaries Mamunur Rahman Ripon and Shafiul Azam VP Rana, BNP Leaders Alhaj Nasir Uddin and Abdus Shukur, District Vice President Khokon President of Juba Dal, Bayazid Hossain Palash, General Secretary Khairul Alam Golden, Swachchasebak Dal President Shamim Ahmed, Chhatra Dal President Rubel Hossain, General Secretary Mamunur bin Doha, Advertising Secretary Farhad Hossain and others.
Naogaon District BNP Convenor Hafizur Rahman Hafiz Master said a mid-day strike was called in Raninagar-Atrai upazila tomorrow (Sunday) rejecting by-elections in Naogaon-6 constituency. The decision will be made again later.
