RAB-1 members arrested a madrasa teacher for allegedly raping a fifth-grade student for nearly two and a half months for allegedly offering low-cost education in Gazipur.
Abdullah Al-Mamun, lieutenant commander of Porabari camp, a specialized RAB-1 company, said this on Friday.

RAB-1 company commander Lieutenant Commander Abdullah Al-Mamun said Asaduzzaman taught at a local madrasa with his two sons and his wife at Razzak Miah’s home in the Dhaladia area of Rajabari Union in Sreepur. He took a fifth-grade girl from a poor family in the South Salna area of the Gazipur metropolis on August 2, promising to provide low-cost education at the Dhaladia Women’s Madrasa.
The madrasa teacher raped the boy day after day by keeping him in a house in Dhaladia without admitting him to the madrasa.
Meanwhile, when her father called the madrasa teacher on his mobile phone to ask about the girl, Asaduzzaman said that the girl was fine and busy with her studies. After about two and a half months, the boy’s father became suspicious. He went to the Dhaladia Women’s Madrasa to find out about her and did not find her. Later, she learned that Asaduzzaman had been raping her daughter day after day by keeping her in a local secret room without admitting her to the madrasa. During this time, video footage of the rape was recorded.
He further said that the boy’s father sought the help of RAB to rescue the defenseless girl. In this context, RAB began to carry out secret activities.
Asaduzzaman was arrested by members of RAB-1’s Porabari camp in the South Salna area of Gazipur City Corporation on Thursday night based on secret information. The girl was later rescued from a locked room in the Dhaladia area of Sreepur based on her information.
The girl’s father has filed a case against the teacher under the Prevention of Abuse of Women and Children Act at the Sreepur Police Station.
