The father of a teenager borrowed 35,000 rupees from a Tomtom driver in Cox’s Bazar. Unable to pay the money, he picked up the girl, detained her for a month and a half, and raped her.

Confirming the incident, Cox Bazar Model Police Station Officer (CO) Munir-ul-Gias said the girl was rushed to Cox Bazar Sadar Hospital after being rescued.
The detained persons are the president of Sadar Upazila Kharulia. Shahab Uddin (28), his partner Khuruskul Hatkholapara. Nurul Alam (38) and Lokman Hakim (34) from Pecharghona and Arman Hossain (28) from District No. 1 of Ujantia Union of Pekua Upazila.
The teen’s mother said her husband was driving the tomtom. Kharulia Chairman’s Para’s Shahab Uddin struck up a relationship with her husband while conducting a tomtom. After the Cox Bazaar model police station was informed about the incident since 999, a police team led by Deputy Inspector (SI) Mansur raided the home of Tomtom’s driver, Shahab Uddin, at Kharulia Chairman’s For on October 11. to rescue the girl. As news of the raid was known in advance, Shahab Uddin and his relatives fled with the girl.
Abdur Rashid, a member of Kharulia UP, said that Tomtom’s driver, Shahab Uddin, had previously committed incidents involving women.
Later, an RAB-6 team from Chittagong raided the scene and arrested Shahab Uddin and his three associates. They were delivered to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station at midnight yesterday.
The CO of the Sadar police station said the detainees were handed over to the court this morning and sent to jail. The victim’s mother has filed a case at the police station.
Meanwhile, RAB said that a few days ago, the victim’s mother, RAB-6, Chittagong, alleged that on September 1, Shahab Uddin and his accomplices kidnapped her young daughter and kept her in an unknown location for about a month. and a half. On the basis of that accusation, RAB-7 launched a shadow investigation to verify the truth of the incident and arrest the accused. At one point, RAB-7 learned, based on secret information, that the rapist and his accomplices were staying in the area below the Sadar Police Station in the Cox’s Bazar district. Based on the information, the victim was rescued in a suffocating operation of 36 hours and the main defendant Md. RAB-6, Chittagong was able to arrest Shahab Uddin and his other three associates.
The RAB further said that it was difficult to detain the defendants because they had changed locations. At one point, RAB-7 learned that the defendants were staying in the Kastura Ghat area, below the Sadar Police Station of the Cox’s Bazar district. Based on the information, an RAB-7 expedition team raided the site at 8pm last night. When they tried to flee after sensing the RAB’s presence, the RAB members arrested the main defendant, Shahab Uddin. Subsequently, based on the information provided by him, the other three charged Arman Hossain, Md. Nurul Alam and Lokman Hakim were arrested in Kharuskul. The victim was rescued from the scene. After extensive questioning of the accused in front of the witnesses present, the accused Shahab Uddin together with three other accused confessed to abducting and raping the victim.
