The connectors have decided to partially shut down the country’s internet and cable television services starting next Sunday. As a result, millions of customers in the country run the risk of being deprived of this service for three hours every day.

The decision was made in the wake of the Dhaka South City Corporation’s (DSCC) suspension campaign on the capital’s Internet and cable TV connectivity providers.

MA Hakim, President of the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB), said: Their service will be closed for three hours until 1pm.

“So far we have not had discussions with the DSCC,” he told The Daily Star on Friday afternoon. So the problem has not been solved.

Earlier, at a press conference at the National Press Club on October 12, ISPAB and the Association of Cable Operators of Bangladesh (COAB) issued an ultimatum to resolve the problem before the 18th.

Due to the Corona epidemic, people now depend on high speed internet in many ways including online classes, exams, offices, virtual meetings, shopping.

Industry experts believe that if the problem is not resolved by tomorrow, millions of people will suffer from the DSCC’s dispute with these two service providers.
