Satkhira: Shahinur’s younger brother, Raihanul Islam, has been arrested by the CID for killing four members of the same family in Kalaroa, Satkhira.
He was sent to court at noon on Friday (October 18).
Earlier Thursday, he was taken into police custody.
Satkhira CID special police superintendent Anichur Rahman told banglanews that Raihanul Islam was arrested on Thursday. Important information was obtained from him during preliminary questioning. However, for the sake of research, it cannot be revealed now. It will be sent to court for 10 days.
Shahinur Rahman, his wife Sabina Khatun, their son Mahi and their daughter Tasnim were strangled to death in the Khalsi village of Kalaroar in Satkhira on Thursday morning. Fortunately, her 4-month-old daughter, Maria, survived.
On Thursday night, Shahinur’s mother-in-law, Moyna Khatun, filed a murder case (No. 14) against unidentified persons at the Kalaroa Police Station. The CID was given the responsibility of investigating the case.
