Prince also said that Bangladesh will form a public opinion to demand the implementation of the nine points previously announced in the long march against rape and oppression.

The demand for nine points is-

>> Exemplary punishment must be guaranteed for the people involved in the current rape-violence against women throughout the country. The interior minister who failed to stop the rape and harassment and failed his trial must be removed immediately.

>> All types of sexual and social military and civil oppression of indigenous women in the hills and plains must be stopped.

>> According to the instructions of the Superior Court, the cell against violence must be implemented in all governmental and non-governmental institutions, including educational institutions. Bangladesh must sign the CEDAW Charter and fully implement it. All laws and practices that discriminate against women must be abolished.

>> Statements against women in all types of gatherings, including religious ones, should be considered a punishable offense. Literature, dramas, movies, advertisements should stop presenting women as products. BTCL has to play an effective role in controlling pornography. Healthy cultural practices must be officially sponsored.

>> Victims must stop the mental harassment during the investigation. The legal and social security of the victim must be guaranteed.

>> Experts in criminology and gender should be included in the tribunal for the repression of violence against women and children. All pending cases must be resolved quickly by increasing the number of courts.

>> Section 162-155 (4) of the Evidence Act should be repealed in case of violation and the DNA Act should be applied in case of evidence.

>> Textbooks should avoid any article, essay, paragraph, image, instruction and choice of words that are insulting and discriminatory towards women.

>> Attempts to cover up rape accusations through rural arbitration should be considered a punishable offense.
