The deceased were identified as Badal, 24, the son of Muktar Ghazi from Jayanta village led by Sadar upazila and Abdul Ahad, 25, son of Nikmal Mollah.
The incident took place around 7 pm Thursday in the village of Barpara in Dhakuria, Monirampur upazila union, said additional superintendent of police Touhidul Islam.
He said they had deep wounds from stab wounds to various parts of the body, including the neck, chest and back. The late Badal was working as an internet connection at Rupdia Bazar de Monirampur upazila. And Ahad is a farmer by profession. Upon receiving the news, the police went around 9 pm and detained the body. His used motorcycle and two mobile phones were found dumped at the scene.
However, the police could not say why the two young men went to the village of Barpara.
Nasir Biswas, a resident of Barpara village, said his house was next to the site. At night he was sitting on the porch of the house.
“Then a bloody man came running up and said, ‘Uncle, save me.’ Saying this, he fell unconscious. Then, when everyone in the house screamed, the surrounding people came forward and took him to the hospital in a van. He died on the way to the door of Chaulia de Sadar upazila. Later, people came forward and saw another body lying on the field. Next to him was a motorcycle. The body lying there belonged to Badal. And the name of the young man who died on the way to the hospital is Ahad. ”
Monirampur SI Debashish Mandal Police Station said they went to the scene after receiving the news. The bodies and motorcycles were recovered and taken into custody. The cause of the incident was not immediately known. Preparations are underway to send the body to the Jessore Sadar hospital morgue.
