Apparently, a beautician was raped in a private car with her son in the Jirani area of Gazipur. Police arrested the defendant Pintu (32) on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place in the Jirani area below the Kashimpur Police Station on Wednesday night. The arrested Pintu is the driver of a local rental car.
Kashimpur Police Deputy Inspector (SI) AK Manik said the victim and Pintu were former acquaintances and both were residents of the Kaliakair area. The victim works at a local beauty salon and Pintu works at a car rental company in the same area. The victim was waiting for a car on the side of the road with her son (6) and a young woman (18) in Kaliakair on Wednesday night. At that moment, Pintu picked up the victim in his car on his way to the private car. Later, showing the temptation to eat the stew, he took it to the rural area of Ashulia.
On the way back to the Jirani area, the victim’s son and girl got out of the private car to eat Halim and went to Halim’s shop. Before they knew it when they were eating Halim at the store, Pintu drove the victim in a private car to a secluded location and raped her inside the private car.
Pintu threatened to kill the victim if the matter leaked. Later, Pintu took everyone in a private car, dropped them off in Kaliakair, and left. Although the incident took place in the area of the Kashimpur Police Station, the victim went to the Ashulia Police Station by mistake on Thursday afternoon. Later, Pintu received the news and went to the Ashulia police station to resolve the incident. When the victim informed the police, the Ashulia police detained Pintu. After receiving the news, the Kashimpur police arrested him and brought him back, in the case presented by the victim, he was shown arrested.
In this regard, the Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Kashimpur Police Station, Mahbub-e-Khoda, said: ‘The victim filed a case against Pintu at the Kashimpur Police Station on Thursday evening. The woman said the case was delayed after consulting with relatives. He will be sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical University Hospital for a medical examination on Friday.
