After her extensive questioning, Rozina’s mother admitted that she had a love affair with Emdadul Haque, the son of the late Gias Uddin from the same village. At one point, the eldest son, Parvez Mia, saw that he was involved in a foreign matter. There was a dispute between the mother and the son. Rozina admitted that she planned to kill her son thinking it would be a problem if her husband, who was abroad, found out about the incident. Later, with the help of her boyfriend Emdadul Haque, three assassins were hired, her son was kidnapped and killed, and his body was dumped into the Brahmaputra River.
