Bangladesh will operate flights to India from October 26. The decision was made at an inter-ministerial meeting on Wednesday (October 14).
When India had offered Bangladesh an air bubble to launch the flight, Bangladesh set October 26 as the date for the inter-ministerial meeting.
Sources from the inter-ministerial meeting confirmed the matter to Jago News.
According to sources, India proposed to launch the flight last month. The agreement contemplates the operation of 26 weekly flights by five Indian airlines. Bangladesh also proposed operating 26 flights a week from three airlines. If India agrees with the proposal, the flight will start on October 26.
According to the meeting’s decision, 14 Biman Bangladesh Airlines flights, 13 US-Bangla Airlines flights and one NovoAir flight will be operated from October 26.
It is known that the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism will take steps to send a written proposal to India through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
