In Kalaroa de Satkhira, four members of the same family were strangled by criminals. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday (October 15) in the village of Khalsi in the union of the Upazila of Helatla.
The deceased were identified as Shahinur Rahman, 40, the son of Shahajan Ali from Khalsi village, his wife Sabina Khatun, 30, their son Siam Hossain Mahi, 9, and their daughter Tasnim, 7.
Raihanul Islam, younger brother of the late Shahinur Rahman, said that six of them, including four members of his mother’s family and his older brother, lived in the house. My mother was yesterday in the house of a relative. He was in the next room.
In the morning I heard the murmur of the children in the next room. I immediately went ahead and saw the door of the house closed from the outside. I opened the door and saw a horrible scene. Soon after, the children died.
He said that some people had disputes with them over the land. But I don’t understand who caused this incident.
Kalaroa (SI) Police Deputy Inspector Mofizul said four people, including Shahinur Rahman, were strangled to death in their home. Among them was the obstruction of Shahinur’s leg. The door to his room in Chile was open.
The killers are believed to have entered the house through the roof door. He also said that police have begun work to unravel the mystery of the incident.
