Meanwhile, the executive director of the ICDDRB in the Globe Biotech office yesterday. In the presence of Tahmid Ahmed and Haroon Aur Rashid, President of Globe Pharmaceuticals, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for the experimental application of the Globe Biotech vaccine in the human body. At that time, scientists and high-level officials from both sides were present.
Globe Biotech’s head of research said. Asif Mahmud told Kaler Kantha: ‘We have completed a successful application on the body of animals. Then the test will begin in the human body. According to the rules, a third party must participate in this work. That is why we have chosen ICDDRB. The ICDDRB will now prepare the necessary protocols and seek government approval. And if the government approves it, all the next work will be done.
He added: “We have obtained good results in the application stage on the animal body. Now ICDDRB will carry out first, second and third stage trials on the human body. And our organization will produce this vaccine. We believe that this vaccine will be more acceptable and useful to the people of Bangladesh than any other vaccine.
He said: “Meanwhile, our vaccine has been called ‘Banquid’, which contains the essence of preventing Bangladesh, Bangabandhu and Corona. The first stage trial will not be for people from any particular community. It will also have ordinary people. In the initial stage, the trials will probably be between 30 and 50 people. “
However, many are not optimistic about the Globe Biotech vaccine, which has come a long way in inventing household vaccines.
Many are skeptical about whether this study will reach its final stage. Of course, the partnership with ICDDRB has given many hope again.
One vaccine expert, who did not want to be named, said: ‘The Globe vaccine has not been very important to us for so long. But now ICDDRB has been added. And since the ICDDRB has reached an agreement, it can be assumed that they have accepted it by observing and analyzing the results of the application of this vaccine in the body of the animal.
