Globe Biotech Limited of Bangladesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research of Bangladesh (ICDDRB) to test the corona vaccine on the human body. The memorandum of understanding was signed on Wednesday (October 14).
Mohammad Mohiuddin, manager and head of quality and regulatory operations at Globe Biotech Limited and a member of the vaccine discovery research team, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Mohiuddin said: “We have signed an agreement with ICDDRB around 2pm today. They will do a clinical trial of our vaccine. That means we hire them as a CR organization.
He said the head of the ICDDRB came today. They said they would check first. Then apply to BMRC. Apply to start clinical work at the DGDA subject to approval there. After receiving these two trials, they will begin the clinical trial.
Globe Biotech Limited claims that its own ‘Bancovid’ vaccine has succeeded in preventing corona in animals.
The vaccine has been shown to be completely safe and effective in animals. Controlled and comprehensive preclinical trials have been completed in the animal model.
Globe Biotech made this claim at a press conference at the Lakeshow Hotel located on Gulshan-2 in the capital on October 5.
