Comilla Chandina Madrasa student (12) has been accused of rape, the founder and director of the Maulana madrasa. Against Yusuf Sohag (40). The locals arrested her on Wednesday (October 14) at noon and handed her over to the police on rape charges.
Maulana Md. Yusuf is the son of Sahidul Islam from the village of Sultanpur in Debidwar upazila of Comilla. He is the Imam of the Comilla Palli Bidyut Samiti-1 Jame Mosque in Chandina and the founder and Mohtamim of Darul Ihsan Tahfizul Quran Qawmi Madrasa in Chandina Palli Bidyut Road.
Billal Hossain, the father of the madrasa student, said: “I admitted my daughter to that madrasa on Chandina Palli Bidyut Road in 2019. On October 13 (Tuesday) I learned that the teacher had run away with my daughter. Upon receiving the news, I tried various ways and failed, but failed and reported the matter to the human rights activist and leader of the Comilla Northern District Volunteer League, Liton Sarkar. He rescued my daughter along with the teacher on Tuesday night.
The madrasa student said that while studying at the madrasa, Yusuf Hazur forcibly had sex with me a month ago. When I tried to report the matter to my guardian, he showed me various fears. Later he would do bad things to me whenever he had the chance. He forced me to take him home to Dhaka on Tuesday.

Comilla Norte District Volunteer League leader Liton Sarkar said the teacher has been married four times so far. He still has two wives. There are many more reports of kidnapping and rape of children by the Qawmi Madrasa establishment. The girl’s house is in my own town. When the girl’s father informed me about the matter on Tuesday, I informed Debidwar Officer Upazila Nirbahi and the OC and rescued the girl. I demand a fair trial for this incident.
Said the Debidwar Police Officer in Charge (OC). Zahirul Anwar said that although the home of the girl and the madrasa teacher was in the area of the Debidwar police station, the incident took place in the area of the Chandina police station. The Chandina police station will take legal action in this regard.
The officer in charge of the Chandina (OC) police station, Shamsuddin Mohammad Elias, said: “I was not aware of the matter.” Now that I know, I have brought the girl along with the madrasa teacher to the police station. I will take legal action knowing the details.
