Former Deputy Speaker of the Central Student Parliament of Dhaka University (Daksu) Nurul Haque Nur said: ‘I am challenging, there are two accusations against me. Mainly, I threatened her (the plaintiff in the case is a student at Dhaka University) as a prostitute. If I can prove it, I will voluntarily hang myself. Second, if you can prove it, I met with him in Nilkhet or sat down with him in Nilkhet to work out an agreement. If either of these two charges can be proven, I will be hung up voluntarily. I came live and said.
Nur said this on social media Facebook Live on Monday. On Live, the former Daksh vice president also denied the allegations in the two cases, the plaintiff in the case and his hunger strike. In an hour and 22 minutes live, Nur also referred to the student as a ‘bitch’. His comments have already started to be discussed and criticized on social media.
On September 20, a fourth-year student from the Department of Islamic Studies at Dhaka University filed two cases against Nur and his colleagues under the Digital Security Act, alleging rape and attempted rape. He has been on a hunger strike at the foot of the Raju anti-terror sculpture in front of the TST since last Thursday. Police dispatched two of Nur’s colleagues, Nazmul Hasan Sohag, joint coordinator of the Bangladesh Student Rights Council, and Nazmul Huda, vice president of the Dhaka University Student Rights Council, on Monday during a strike. starving.
However, the applicant is on a hunger strike demanding the arrest of Nur and other defendants in the case. In such a context, the former vice president of Daksh arrived yesterday on Facebook Live.
Nurul Haque Nur said about Hasan Al Mamun and Nazmul Hasan Sohag, one of the defendants in the case and former leaders of the Student Rights Council: ‘We are saying over and over again that we will not take responsibility for Hasan Al Mamun and Nazmul Hasan Sohag. Because we don’t know the details about Hasan Al Mamun and Nazmul Hasan Sohag. Hassan al-Mamun said that they were students from the same department, with whom he (the student) had an acquaintance. But we don’t know if there was rape or intercourse. He didn’t tell us anything. As I met him, there may be something, I won’t blow him at all. Hasan al-Mamun also admitted that he knew the girl.
The girl’s brother also said that Nazmul Hasan Sohag used to come and go to his house. Marriage conversations with them also matured. However, we can assure our comrades in arms and supporters that Daksur Vice President Noor, the joint coordinator of the Saiful Islam organization, Abdullah Hill Baki and Nazmul Huda have nothing to do with the incident.

‘So much drama, that bitch’
Commenting on the student as’ mischievous’ on Facebook Live, Nur said: ‘You have seen a photo with Nazmul Hasan Sohag that went viral on Facebook, smiling happily in the launch booth. In the cabin of the boat where the girl filed the rape complaint. Absolutely funny, shh! We condemn that, who is doing so much drama, who is a bitch. That is the drama of rape. Voluntarily to bed with a guy, happily at lunch.
At the time, Nur added: ‘Cabin and launch. Is it possible to rape in the launch cabin? If you give a shout, the people around you gather. So they didn’t get the name of the rape? Couldn’t you tell the people there? Brother Sohag raped me and caught him.
When asked about the veracity of the allegations in the case, the former Daksh vice president said: ‘She was raped in January. Couldn’t you sue for so many days? Were you unable to submit a written complaint to the university administration? Were you unable to submit a written complaint to the supervisor? Couldn’t you file a case at the police station? These are many problems.
‘The Chhatra League is doing these things with him’
The student, who was on a hunger strike Monday morning, told NTV Online that she became ill during the strike and went to the hospital. But he went back on hunger strike from the hospital. He added: ‘The doctor is giving me saline. He gave me some medicines, I’m taking them. Other than this, I don’t feel like eating anything else. First of all, I am mentally disturbed.
However, Nur’s claim is that the Chhatra League is doing all of this with that student. He said: ‘Have you seen a hunger strike like this in any country in the world? The fans go, the saline solution, the breakfast packs, the food and the leaders of the Chhatra League there. There is no one by his side except the Chhatra League. The Chhatra League is doing these things with him. Then we can question their activities. Trying to discredit me without any proof, trying to tarnish my political career. From that point of view, what I have said is appropriate, not contradictory. “
What’s in the student’s case statement?
On 20 September, the Dhaka University student filed a case with the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Lalbagh Police Station against six individuals, including Nurul Haque Nur, for allegedly raping and assisting in the rape. The next day, September 21, the student filed another case at the DMP Kotwali Police Station, accusing the same people of kidnapping, raping, aiding, inciting and spreading propaganda through digital media.
The defendants in the case brought to the Lalbagh Police Station are Hasan Al Mamun (26), Joint Coordinator of the Bangladesh Student Rights Council, Nazmul Hasan Sohag (26), Nurul Haque Nur (25), former Vice President of Daksh, Saiful Islam (27), Joint Coordinator of the Student Rights Council Nazmul Huda (25) and Abdullahil Baki (23), Vice Presidents of the Student Rights Council. Nazmul Hasan Sohag was named defendant number one and Hasan Al Mamun number two in the case brought to the Kotwali police station. Nur became the third defendant in two cases.
In the statement of the case, the Dhaka University student mentioned: ‘The defendant Hasan Al Mamun is a student of the seventh group of the Department of Islamic Studies of Dhaka University. He is the older brother in my department and I met him through the Student Rights Council of Bangladesh. On July 29, 2016, I had a personal relationship with Mamun and then it turned into a love story. Continuing with this, I had conversations with the defendant via messenger, emo, WhatsApp at different times. There the defendant gave me indications of a physical relationship. After this, the defendant asked me to come to his home in the Nawabganj Bara Masjid area on January 3 this year around 2 pm and raped me at his home after showing me the temptation to marry.
“I became ill on January 4 after the incident,” the statement said. On January 12, I was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital through Mamun’s friend Sohag. Mamun and Sohag prevented me from contacting campus journalists while I was hospitalized. Earlier, when Mamun was pressured into getting married, she agreed, but after I got sick she started making excuses.
The statement further said that the matter was verbally reported to Vice President Nur on June 20 without any change. “Nur said,” Mamun is my comrade in arms. I’ll make an arrangement by sitting with him. Then, on June 24, he came to meet me in Nilkhet with the assurance of an agreement. But he forbade me to go too far in this regard, avoiding the question of arrangement. If I exaggerate, he will threaten to post my name on Facebook with his fans and promote me as a prostitute. The campaign was threatened by a group of 11 billion members of its Council on Student Rights. Nur added: “All my respect will disappear in one of their lives. Meanwhile, Saiful Islam, the fourth defendant in the case, has spread slander on my behalf and has used the fifth and sixth defendants to spread slander. They talk about my character in the messaging chat group and conspire together to annoy me. ‘
In the statement, the plaintiff further said: “Although some of the leaders of the Student Rights Council wanted to work for a fair solution to the problem, the defendants called them conspirators. After that, I was physically and mentally ill and there was a delay in filing the case due to speaking with my relatives.
