Abdul Khalisher, 48, the uncle of Shamim Ahmed, the main defendant in the case of raping a young girl and beating her father in Sunamganj’s Jagannathpur upazila, has been charged with raping a mother of three.
Police are investigating the incident on Monday (October 12). Earlier on Saturday night, the raped housewife filed a case against Abdul Khalich at the Jagannathpur Police Station.
According to the police and the locals, the husband of the raped housewife is working. That is why the housewife has stayed at her father’s house with her husband since they got married. On this occasion, the influential Abdul Khalish of the village proposed love to the housewife.
Khalich raped the housewife on the night of April 3 because she did not agree. He did not tell anyone about the matter out of public embarrassment. Meanwhile, Abdul Khalish became more reckless.
Tactically, he took the voter identification card, the marriage certificate, and the land documents and Rs 10,000 in cash from the housewife’s home. Later, Khalich raped the housewife more than once by blackmailing her with these things. On the night of October 9, she grabbed her husband by the neck, locked the children in a room, and raped the housewife again.
Jagannathpur Police Officer in Charge (CO), Ikhtiyar Uddin Chowdhury, said that one case has been recorded in this regard. The matter is being investigated. Action will be taken in this regard in light of the investigation.
