After a long 11-hour search, a team of divers rescued the body of Mahid, who was drowned in a boat on the Nabganga River in Magura. The body was recovered around 2 p.m. Sunday.

At that time, one of the boy’s hands was tied to the linen thread in the pot. After being submerged in water for five days, it has rotted in different parts of the body.

Mahid, an 8 1/2 year old boy, was tied to a boat by his neighbor Rohan (14) in the Barasia area of Magura’s Nabganga River around 12 noon on Wednesday and drowned alive. Before that, Hanuman called him from the front of the house to show him.

The girl’s father, Mojirul Mollah, kept a general diary at the Sadar police station without finding anything until that night. The next day, a ransom of Tk 20 lakh was demanded on the mobile phone. Following the phone call, the police arrested Rohan, an eighth-grade student, and his father, Imran Ali Aslam.

At that time, Rohan confessed to the murder to the police. In light of this, the Sadar police carried out a search in the Barashia area of the Nabganga River around 1pm on Saturday, but could not find any culprits. On Sunday morning, the divers began a new search in the Barasia area of the river. Finally, after a long 11-hour search, they recovered the boy’s body along with the boat around 2 pm.

After rescuing the body of the Mahid boy, a heartbreaking situation arose in the presence of relatives on the riverbank. Police recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy.

The police were able to recover the body on the basis of a GD presented by Shishu Mahid’s father at the Magura Sadar Police Station. The Sadar SI Alamgir Hossain Police Station was in charge of the investigation.

On the day of the incident, Rohan took the Mahid boy away from the front of the house around 10 am, but after touring different areas, they went to the riverbank around 12 noon. There, Mahid was taken to the boat with a ready-made palm boat and his hands were tied with a lyon rope. At this time, even if the child interrupts, he may fall into the water; you can tie your hand easily.

After traveling some distance on the river, Rohan sank the boat and returned home. SI Alamgir said that Rohan had done all this according to the instructions of his father Aslam.

In a family incident a few days ago, Mahid’s father, Mojirul Mollah, insulted Rohan’s parents. They confessed to the police that father and son had committed the brutal murder out of humiliation.

However, Mahid’s family claimed that there were no disputes between the two families. His uncle, Nero Mollah, said the two families are related. This was never expected to happen due to the little insults.

Magura Sadar Police Station OC Joynal Abedin said Magura Police Superintendent Khan Mohammad Rezwan had formed a team to investigate the matter after a general diary was kept at the police station. Finally, the boy’s body was recovered thanks to successful teamwork. The accused is also in custody.
