A boy named Abu Bakar shot and killed his mother Khairun Nesha (65) with an ax at the Chauddagram upazila in Comilla. The police arrested the accused son Abu Bakr.
The incident took place at noon on Sunday (October 11) in the village of Pashakot in Shubhpur, a union of the Upazila. Abu Bakr was the son of the late Anwar Ullah from the same village. He is a retired BDR member convicted of the murders of the BDR mutiny in Peelkhana. Chauddagram Police Inspector Shubh Ranjan Chakma confirmed the matter.
According to the police and local sources, Abu Bakar (30) suffered from a mental imbalance after being convicted in the Peelkhana murder case. His wife recently moved into her father’s house with one of their daughters.
Abu Bakr’s mental problems were compounded by various problems. He killed his mother by cutting her with an ax while she was praying to Johar at his home on Sunday afternoon.
Upon receiving the news, the locals arrested his son Abu Bakr and carried out a massacre. Upon receiving the news, the Chauddagram police rescued him and took him to the police station.
Shuddha Ranjan Chakma, Inspector (Investigation) of Chauddagram Police Station, said: “I have never seen such a brutal murder in my working life.” The body was recovered and sent to the morgue. The murderer Abu Bakr will be handed over to court on Monday.
