Dhaka: Supreme Court attorney Younus Ali Akand appeared in court and unconditionally apologized for granting offensive status to the court on social media Facebook.
The Appeals Division, headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, set the date for the verdict on Monday (October 12) after a hearing on Sunday (October 11).
Lawyers Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, AJ Mohammad Ali, Zainul Abedin, Lawyer Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Ruhul Quddus Kajal and others appeared in court.
Attorney General AM Amin Uddin represented the state.
He was subpoenaed by the Appeals Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain on Sunday after the matter was brought to the attention of the court on September 28.
At the same time, he was fired from the bar for two weeks. The BTRC was also instructed to block his Facebook account and remove the objection status.
